Pensieve Expanse holds the work Pensieve gives away. It funds the open-source software the world runs on, teaches the skills the next decade asks for, and keeps both open to everyone.

What Expanse gives
Each programme is free to the people it serves.
- Open source supportFunding, paid maintainer time, security review and release engineering for the open-source projects that infrastructure depends on and nobody budgets for. Maintainers keep full governance of their projects.
- Skills in applied AIA free course, taught in cohorts by working engineers, that takes a learner from a first prompt to a working AI system with its own evaluation. Every lesson is published openly after it runs.
- Builder fellowshipFunded months for people building public-interest technology that has no business model, with a stipend, compute, and legal and security support. Fellows own their work outright and ship it under an open licence.
- Community commonsOpen office hours with Pensieve engineers, workshop kits any organiser can run, and shared tooling released under permissive licences. Anyone can walk in.

Pensieve is built on open-source software and open research. Expanse is how the company pays that back: a standing commitment of engineering time, funding and teaching to the commons it depends on.
